Dan Elkington stands for election

Dan Elkington (BGS 1996-2003)

The candidates in Boston Borough Council’s by-election for the Fenside Ward have been announced. They are: Ben Cook (labour), Dan Elkington (Conservative), Tiggs Keywood-Wainwright (UKIP) and Alan Taylor (Liberal Democrats). The seat became available last month after former Fenside Ward councillor Elliot Fountain (English Democrat) was removed from the council for not turning up to meetings for six months. The by-election will be held on Thursday, 5 September.

For the purposes of this blog (and not in order to show political bias), it's interesting to note that Dan Elkington was at Boston Grammar School from 1996 to 2003.

Since leaving school, Dan has worked in a variety of roles including working in factories and as a healthcare support worker. He is now a fully qualified independent Financial advisor and private client wealth manager, serving an area taking in Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. He is working towards chartered status in his chosen profession.
