OBA President, Peter Sharman, has called an Extraordinary General Meeting of the Old Bostonian Association at 6pm on Friday 19 April. The meeting will be held in the Library of Boston Grammar School. All members of the Association are encouraged to attend if possible.
The meeting will take place the evening before the Annual Dinner, so a number of old boys living away from the town are likely to be available to attend who would not normally be able to attend such an event. Your participation would be welcomed.
Following the untimely death of Paul Mould, your Association is now left without a Secretary, Membership Secretary and Newsletter Editor. The Association is now at a critical point and we are looking to the Membership for ideas of how your Association could and should move forward. We obviously wish to appoint a new Secretary at this meeting but I think it is an excellent opportunity to shape the Association for the future. We are in a healthy financial position at present and a number of our Committee would like to see more funding channelled towards assisting pupils with funding for worthwhile causes.
Your presence at the Meeting would be greatly appreciated but if you are not able to attend any written suggestions would be welcome. I assure you no-one will be railroaded onto the Committee simply because of attendance at this Meeting!
